Barrenjoey Psychology in Warriewood is an essential service and is currently open for business as usual.  We want to assure our clients that our psychologists and client support team are doing what they can to ensure a safe space for those attending for psychological care.  Telephone and video-conferencing consultations are also available.

Our Psychologists

Our psychologists are fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and listed with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). To maintain this registration they need to have regular clinical supervision and attend professional development courses each year. Apart from their formal qualifications all of our Psychologists have extensive clinical experience working in a private practice setting. The psychologists at Barrenjoey Psychology are very respectful of gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, religion and all individual differences.

Your psychologist will work collaboratively with you to find the right model of treatment and help you develop practical strategies to overcome the difficulties you are experiencing. Appointments are available weekdays and after hours.

Annemarie Lambe

Clinical Psychologist

M.A.(Psych), MAPS

Annemarie is the principal clinical psychologist of the Barrenjoey Psychology practice. She has extensive experience in working with both adults and children. She trained in New Zealand and then moved to Australia with her family in 1992. She continued to complete further postgraduate studies in adult psychopathology and assessment at James Cook University in 2011.

Annemarie is a creative therapist and she continues to be interested in brain function and the mind’s working. Her areas of interest are depression and anxiety, trauma, rehabilitation from injury and dealing with chronic pain. She has advanced training in mindfulness integrated cognitive behaviour therapy which is an intensive skills based program of therapy. Annemarie uses other models of therapy such as interpersonal psychotherapy, schema therapy and cognitive behaviour therapy that are tailored to people’s presenting problems. Her vision has been to develop a psychology practice and trauma centre on the northern beaches with like-minded professionals who have the relevant clinical skills and experience.

Nicola George


BSc (Hons), MSc, Postgrad Dip (Couns Psych)

Nicola aims to help people identify and tackle their problems to achieve positive change and personal growth. She is an experienced psychologist and will work to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship. She completed her professional training in the United Kingdom in 2006 and then worked for the National Health Service (NHS) for 15 years in England. Here she gained extensive experience in working with a wide range of mental health problems including: Anxiety Disorders, Depression and Post Natal Depression, Anger, Bereavement, and Eating Disorders.

Since moving to Australia in 2012, Nicola has full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and is AHPRA Registered. She is able to offer both Medicare and Health Fund Rebates. She has been working on the Northern Beaches in private practice for the last 8yrs. Nicola specializes in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help people manage their problems, but also has a keen interest in Mindfulness.

Leigh Wallas


BPsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Couns)

Leigh is a curious, empathetic and passionate psychologist who works with adolescents and adults to help create positive and lasting psychological change and growth. Leigh works in partnership with clients using techniques that are supported by evidence, including for example, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She strives assist clients in developing strategies for managing unhelpful or intrusive psychological issues as well as identifying and harnessing their existing strengths. Leigh has worked with clients experiencing a range of psychological concerns and uses this experience to tailor therapy to suit each individual. She has specific extensive experience working with people who have lived through trauma and/or are dealing with complex issues. Leigh is a certified Yoga instructor and she incorporates her experience of calming the body and mind into her work with clients experiencing psychological issues.

Kelvin Chambers


B Soc Sci GDip Psych Ass MAPS

Kelvin is an experienced psychologist with extensive skills working with clients from a range of culturally diverse backgrounds. Kelvin has used this experience to modify a number of evidence-based therapies to fit more sensitively with their unique needs.

Other areas of his expertise include working with men on a range of mental health issues including alcohol and substance abuse and Asperger’s disorder. He also works with adults and children on the Autism Spectrum and is trained in using ADI-R diagnostic testing.

Nicole Radcliffe


BA (Hons) MPsych (Couns) MAPS

Nicole has many years of experience in providing psychological treatment for a wide variety of issues including: all types of anxiety and panic, stress, depression, low self-esteem, work and study stressors, relationship difficulties, bullying, career guidance, adjustment to change (illness, injury, and major life events) and addiction. In her work she utilises evidence – based psychological techniques derived from a variety of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems Therapy.

Nicole is passionate about helping people address work issues including work stress, workplace bullying and harassment, performance management and redundancy. She is very experienced in helping people identify work and career opportunities that match their skills, interests and aspirations as well as providing skills training in all aspects of job seeking.

Kristiina Jacobs


M.A.(Clin Psych), MAPS

Kristiina is a dedicated practitioner who has been working in the space of mental health and mindfulness-based approaches throughout her career. Her areas of interest are: depression and anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, dealing with severe or chronic health issues, aging and midlife, recovery from affairs and relationship difficulties. Kristiina is a compassionate therapist and her main types of treatment used are mindfulness integrated cognitive behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy interpersonal psychotherapy and psychotherapy.

Kristiina is an associate of Benestar and provides employee assistance counselling for eligible organisations. She is a provider for Primary and Community Care Services and can see patients who are referred by their GP to this program.
